CENTRAL TIMBER REPORT The timber market in central Illinois is strong. Sawmills are looking for both veneer and saw logs. Due to the cessation of buying during the late Summer because of moisture in the logs that can cause staining local mills are trying to build back inventory through Winter. All species are needed from Red and White Oak, Cherry, as well as Walnut. It appears that the market will remain strong throughout 2005 Ben Joines
