NORTHERN TIMBER REPORT Not much has changed since my last report. Demand is still high for quality logs due to the wet weather. This winter is underway, and so far it has been hectic. We have acquired new markets for Basswood, and are looking for veneer quality logs as well as saw logs. This market is mainly for the Winter months through March or early April. Product needs to be shipped before the warm weather of Spring arrives. The length and severity of Winter will affect the demand for logs, as everyone will want a good inventory going into Spring breakup. So we will be in search of logs all Winter long, and particularly timber that can be cut during the Summer Ben Bruggeman
